Hairstyling for the MUA is an intense, exciting, short-term workshop offered both individually and as part of our Freelance Makeup Artistry Program. In this 24 hour (1 week) workshop, students will learn basic hairstyling skills used on set of fashion shows, movie sets, and theatrical performances. This hairstyling workshop was developed by the same leading hairstylists and educators who created the cirriculums and training programs of the famous Robert Fiance Beauty Schools. Please note, this workshop does not count towards any credit or hours for the New Jersey State Board of Cosmetology and does not lead to any Cosmetology or Hairstyling licensing. It is meant to bring the makeup artist up to par with the essential styling and hair design techniques found in the Freelance Makeup industry. Getting Certified in Hairstyling for the MUA is a great way to advance your career on set, as directors and clients will feel more confident in your ability to handle the entire gig from hair to makeup! Robert Fiance Makeup Academy offers students of the Hairstyling Workshop a beautiful, professional grade hairstyling kit, included in the cost of the workshop! This kit is also sold separately at a significantly reduced price than you will find at most beauty supply stores and retailers. Although this workshop was created to work exclusively with this kit, students do have the option of bringing in their own items, however, it is highly recommended that you take advantage of the student hairstyling kit.
